HI, I'M RACHAEL! WELCOME TO TWFK!
IT'S SO NICE TO MEET YOU!
MSOT, OTR/L, IMC
Rachael joined our team in April 2023. She enjoys staying up to date with all things pop culture, and thanks to her younger siblings, she has a plethora of knowledge regarding celebrity drama, video games, movies, or shows. Rachael incorporates this pop-culture knowledge in her sessions to support the participation of her clients. She has a deep understanding of self-regulation in real life with her history of working with the Special Olympics, coaching swim to local children, and supporting her family.
Rachael earned both her Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences and her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from the University of Scranton. She additionally earned a minor in Psychology and a concentration in Human Development. While at Scranton, Rachael conducted extensive research on the importance of developing foundational sensory processing and emotional regulation skills. Rachael also did substantial research on sound-based therapy, including TOMATIS, which is included in the intensives at TWFK. She also has prior clinical experience in mental health and physical rehabilitation which assists with her holistic approach to therapy.
When not in the clinic, Rachael enjoys supporting and exploring local farmers markets, taking her easily-startled dog Charlie on walks, or attempting to develop her green thumb. Right now she is only capable of taking care of cacti and succulents, but as soon as she moves on to growing something new, her friends at TWFK will be the first to know!
