Intensive
Occupational
Therapy

What is an intensive?

Our intensive program is designed to give your child* a developmental push in order to create significant progress over the course of 4 months. This intensive program combines sound based therapy with sensory integration occupational therapy to address underlying functions and give the child a developmental boost.

Sound based therapy is used when appropriate to “re-train” parts of the brain involved in learning, communicating, and moving. Combining an auditory program with specific visual and balance activities, reflex integration and sensory processing, sound based therapy strengthens neurological pathways and improves a child’s ability to learn and to process information.

*Also available tailored for Adults and Pregnant mothers.

How it works?

Our intensive programs would consist of three loops. Each loop is 20 hours over 2 consecutive weeks with 4-to-6-week integration period between each intensive loop. The goal of the intensive is to give a significant developmental push to a child's neuro sensory system to support underlying sensory processing challenges to help close the gap in developmental skills.

Our intensive may combine various aspects of occupational therapy, auditory stimulation, balance, movement and visual motor activities in a one on one setting to address the specific needs highlighted during the evaluation. By combining multi-sensory intervention, listening, and visual stimulation, we reach faster and more integrated results.

Our intensive therapy programs are fully customized by our therapists with your child's specific needs taken into consideration.
